ज्वारीचा असा पौष्टिक आणि पोटभरीचा नाश्ता, जो तुम्ही रोज करून खाल | Healthy Jowar Uttapam

Hello Welcome to Marathi Kitchen. Today, let's. Keep aside the usual breakfast ingredients, i.e. poha rice rava. Today we'll, make a nice breakfast dish by using jowar flour. It's, filling and simple: to prepare soak 1 cup of urad dal and 1/4th teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in water for 5-6 hours.

It has nicely soaked ofcourse. We have to crush this dal. You can use water as per your need, while crushing the dal take the jowar flour 3 times more than the urad dal, i.e. 3 cups of jowar flour. In a container, if you don't have a big kitchen vessel, you can use a container like this.

If you have a big vessel, you can definitely use it, make sure there are no lumps in it. You need a lot of water to make the batter I needed almost 3 glasses of water. Don't, make it too thin or runny make it a bit thicker than this now add the crushed urad dal in this, since we mixed the jowar flour in the water beforehand, there are no lumps forming in it mix it.

Well, we are going to ferment this batter this batter, usually ferments quickly. 7-8 hours are enough, takes a bit more time in winter, so keep this in mind and keep this batter to ferment late at night, so that it doesn't get too sour in the morning.

This batter rises very much and so use a proper big vessel. I too changed the container later, because the batter had risen twice more than it's amount. It has beautifully fermented this morning, give it a mix.

Still, if you feel it is very sour in taste, you can soak some jowar flour and add it in this to lower the sourness. Add some sugar add some salt. We are going to make jowar uttappa, so we need a bit thin consistency for it than usual.

If it looks very thick, add some water take a bowl and take out as much batter as you need in another bowl. Add a finely chopped tomato. Then a finely chopped onion, some chopped coriander a chopped green chilly, give it a mix.

The tawa is well-heated. Pour some oil spread it gently with a tissue. Some oil should be there on the tawa. Don't wipe it completely mix the batter before you pour it, pour it on the tawa with a ladle spread.

It gently the flame is on medium when the batter is still wet. Sprinkle, the tomato-onion-chilly-coriander mixture on this you can see the net-like texture on the batter now pour some oil on the sides cover it with a lid for about a minute or two to let it cook the onion and tomato get nicely cooked, remove the lid and pour Some oil on the top press, the tomato and onion lightly from the top turn the uttappa as we have added sugar in this, it gets a beautiful colour and taste now increase the flame and cook the other side by lightly and evenly pressing the uttappa.

The onion-tomato should be nicely roasted. I'll, pour one more for uttappa. If the batter is a bit thin than usual, it becomes easier to spread it and it would also get a nice net-like texture for people who don't eat rice.

This option is the best for a filling breakfast. Kids, too, will eat jowar. Flour in this form easily and happily uttappa, is always more filling than a dosa. Just 2 uttappas are generally enough. You can make a nice spicy chutney to eat along with it Do.
