Regular thick pohe It has 3 types. 1. thin pohe, 2.medium thick pohe And 3. Thick pohe. You have to take one trial after buying pohe Generally I have medium thick pohe. Here I have taken 1 cup pohe I will wash them, soak for 30 seconds, drain all the water and keep it covered Here I have washed the pohe good, soaked for 30 seconds and after 30 seconds, drained all the water I will keep them covered.

Till potato gets cooked, pohe will be nicely soaked Let's start with tadka. I have heated oil in a pan Let's add raw peanuts first. We love roasted peanuts in pohe, upma, sanja or in shevai upma Let's fry the peanuts until they turn reddish.

I have fried the peants well I will remove the peanuts in a bowl Mostly people mix peanuts in tadka itself. But due to it, peanuts turn soft. Peanuts do not become scrumptious So mostly I do not add peanuts in tadka.

I fry them first And then I prepare tadka Let's prepare tadka. In the same oil add mustard seeds Let the mustard seeds pop up and the we will add cumin seeds Mustard has nicely popped up. Now let's add cumin seeds Let's roast the cumin seeds nicely.

Add a pinch asafetida Add curry leaves and green chilies I have taken medium potato, peeled it and cut it into small chunks. Add potato. Mix well. Add a bit salt due to which potato releases water And we don't need to add extra water.

Potato cooks quickly well Cover it. Potato gets cooked in 8-10 minutes. I have cooked the potato for about 8-10 minutes. Let's check it It smells nice. It is nicely cooked. You can see it Potato has nicely caramalelized.

It is nicely fried. Generally while cooking the potato for batate pohe do not add extra water If you add water, potato doesn't get caramelized. Now add turmeric powder I haven't add turmeric powder while cooking potato As if we add turmeric powder in hot oil, the color of it changes It turns a bit reddish.

Let's fry turmeric powder nicely with potato After adding turmeric powder, let's add pohe to it Pohe are nicely soaked. Befor adding to potato let's mix them well with fork So that when you add pohe to tadka, they won't break And their shape won't change.

Just mix nicely with the help of fork Let's add pohe to batata. Add salt, I have added salt while cooking potato I am adding just a bit of salt, just for taste and a pinch of sugar If you don't like don't add sugar.

Let's mix this all well Once pohe are mixed well, cover and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes I have cooked the pohe on low heat for about 5 minutes. Hmm. They are looking nice. If you cook pohe on low heat they become soft In the end let's garnish with coriander leaves.

Mix well. Let's take pohe into a serving dish, garnish with coriander leaves again In the end we will add crunchy, fried peanut They are looking nice and delicious and also smell good Let me taste.
